UAE ANNOUNCES NEW TOURIST AND RESIDENT VISA RULES

From 6-months residences to longer transit stays in the UAE, these new rules are changing the perceptions and taking UAE to new heights!

Earlier this week, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai along with the cabinet officials announced some lenient visa regulations, creating a hype among the tourists and residents of the UAE.

There are over 8 new rules that have been announced, and here’s what you need to know about them:

1. New Insurance Scheme:
Previously a mandatory deposit of AED 3,000 per worker is now been replaced by a new insurance policy that would cost AED 60 annually per person. This will allow employers to recover around Dh 14 Billion, representing the value of the current guarantees paid by all the employers. This recovered money can be utilized by the businesses for further development.

The insurance coverage will be 20,000 AED per worker and will include service benefits like vacation allowances, overtime & unpaid wages, employee’s return ticket and special cases of the work injury.
