1.       DISCOVER THE OLD CITY

Old cities and historical ruins of any country are usually the first thing that might catch anyone’s attention. Similarly, in the case of Georgia, the first thing you’d hear when you come to Tbilisi would be to visit its old corners. You might be wondering what does is this “Old City” actually have? These attractions are what make up to Tbilisi’s Old City:

–          Metekhi Bridge

–          Abanotubani; The sulfur baths district

–          The Narikala Fortress

–          Anchiskhati Church

–          Sioni Cathedral

–          Synagogue

These sites/attractions are extremely close by to each other which would make it easier for you to manage your travel time and still explore all of them.

PS – Don’t forget to take the cable car to reach up to the Narikala Fortress, it’s an experience on its own.

2.       BATHE AT ABANOTUBANI

Like mentioned above, Abanotubani is one of the sites that make up to the Old City, Tbilisi. This place is a district where you’d find Sulphur baths. Isn’t it exciting to bathe and massage in the same room where Alexandre Dumas might have?

You cannot escape without taking a dip in these Sulphur bath tubs which is said to be great for your health. It could be approximately (GEL 30) for the bath and an additional of (GEL 15) for the massage. Believe it, it’s a great combination.

3.       EXPLORE THE MUSEUMS

Tbilisi has abundance of museums – all worth your time.

–          The Museum of Georgia (Exhibits golden antique treasury)

–          National Art Gallery (Masterpieces by Georgian artists)

–          Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts (Artifacts from the Bronze, Medieval and Modern ages)

–          Open Air Museum of Ethnography (Folk architecture of each region of Georgia)

4.       SHOP AT THE DRY BRIDGE

You might be wondering what is this Dry Bridge? Well, earlier when Georgia suffered from economic struggles the locals would come to The Dry Bridge and sell their valuable items from their homes in the hope of some income.

Today, it might not offer what it used to, but it’s a great place to be and you might also end up finding souvenirs to take back home.

5.       ENJOY AT MTATSMINDA PARK

An amusement park that offers fantastically beautiful views of the city and is the perfect place to spend your evenings in Tbilisi.

It is also the only amusement park in Georgia that has a nightclub known as Under Wheel that is located right under the Ferris Wheel.

Georgian cuisine is a heaven of cheese, bread, walnuts and spices. The local dishes that you must try when you’re there are:
