There are multiple types of visas to enter the UAE; you apply for the one suitable for your need to travel to the UAE. It’s simpler than it sounds; here is how it goes.
Tourist Visa
If you are simply interested in spending a vacation here in UAE to visit the touristic spots, to experience the amazing mixture of modernization and pure desert, or to visit family and friends, then a Tourist Visa is what you require.
Time for the obvious question. How long does this visa allow you to stay inside the country? Again, you get to choose – durations are:
- 14-Days Tourist Visa
- 30-Days Tourist Visa
- 90 Days Tourist Visa
Tourist visas are “single entry” visas. Meaning, that you can only enter the UAE once. Even if you exit weeks before your visa expires.
Visit Visa
The Visit Visa is what you need to apply for if you are coming to the UAE for a job hunt or an interview. Why not just apply for a tourist visa? Because, in case you get that job offer you were excited about, by having a visit visa, your status is transferable. That means you can get your employment visa sponsored by your new company without having to exit the country.
- 30-Days Visit Visa
- 90 Days Visit Visa
- Your Passport Copy (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months)
- Personal photograph (passport size/ white background)
Both can be single or multiple entries. “Multiple Entry” Visa, means that in case you had to leave UAE for any reason, you can simply fly back if your visa is still valid.
What is Required from You?
- Your Passport Copy (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months)
- Personal photograph (passport size/ white background)
Naturally, knowing someone who is already a UAE resident would make your visa approval process go a bit more smoothly. If that person exists, he is referred to as your “Guarantor”. One thing is required from them:
- Their Passport copy + Residency page in the passport (and/or UAE National ID Copy)
The Good News!
Well, they are good if your nationality is listed below. As nationals of these countries do not have to go through the visa application process to enter UAE.
